Welcome to my journey. I’m Pastor Fernando Cabrera, and Prayer Champion is more than just a book—it’s the heartbeat of a life surrendered to God and dedicated to the transformation of people, communities, and nations through the power of prayer.

Born and serving for over 37 years in the Bronx, I’ve walked the very streets where struggle and resilience collide. From a young age, I knew there was more—more purpose, more calling, more power than what my eyes could see. That “more” came when I discovered the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ and the unstoppable force of fervent prayer.

A Life of Prayer and Calling

Over the last 37 years, I’ve served as the Senior Pastor of New Life Outreach International Church, a thriving multi-generational congregation in the Bronx, New York. From leading daily prayer gatherings, spending four hours daily in prayer, and to citywide prayer initiatives, I’ve seen firsthand how prayer can shift atmospheres, heal hearts, and open impossible doors.

Prayer didn’t just shape my ministry—it became my lifestyle. It was in the prayer closet that I found direction, comfort, boldness, and supernatural strength to face challenges both in the church and in the civic arena.

Faith Meets Leadership

Whether serving as a New York City Council member, Senior Advisor to the Mayor, College Professor, School Counselor, Director of Drug Rehabilitation program, or lead pastor, I learned that transformation starts and finishes with a strong prayer life. I also know the high cost I pay when prayer was not my priority. I also experienced supernatural growth in our church, captives set free, miracles, signs, and wonders, when prayer became by first calling.

Prayer Champion was born out of decades of warfare, victories, late-night intercession, and frontline leadership. It’s not just a book—it’s a blueprint. Whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned intercessor, this book will equip you to:
